2.4 – 2.8 million Won – 1 month Summer Camp - July 28, 2008 – August 23, 2008

Job Info:

Qualifications : You need to have a University degree completed and your original degree and official transcripts ready to send to Korean Immigration for visa processessing.
Camp dates (4 weeks) July 28, 2008 – August 23, 2008 (There is a chance you could extend 1 week until August 30, 2008 (to be confirmed).
PAY: 600,000~700,000 Korean Won per week ($600 - $700 / week, approximately) (total for 4 weeks 2400-2800 Canadian / US dollars approximately).
Other teachers – There will be 16 teachers from Canada / USA selected for this camp.
Orientation: The company will provide a brief orientation and support staff will be available to help you get oriented and answer questions.
Weekends: There may be some Saturday morning classes Probably just class level graduation ceremonies each Saturday) – but you will be free to travel to surrounding cities and Seoul, wherever you want Saturday night as long as you are back by Sunday evening for 5:30 pm staff meeting (approx) and ready to teach Monday morning. Saturday obligations finish at 11:30 am.
Age Group: students will range from grades 1 – grade 9.
Class size: approx 20 students of less per class.
Hours: Monday to Friday – approx 8 hours of teaching each day scheduled in the morning, afternoon and evenings between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Location: Korean Labour Union Training Center (Yeojoo City) – well equipped facility with swimming pool and other amenities. Beautiful area in the countryside, near town and accessible to Seoul (regular busses and company will provide free transport to some Yeojoo and Seoul). Housing: Shared housing for max of 3 people – no charge
Free Meals: the school will provide free breakfast, lunch and dinner (not on Sundays)
Airport reception: You will be met at the airport in Seoul (Incheon International Airport) by a representative from the company.
Airfare: Summer camp teachers will pay their own airfare/transportation to Korea (teacher who sign for 1 year contracts will get free airfare).

Salary: 2.1 – 2.4 million won / month

Overtime if worked at 20,000 / hour

Contract: 1 year
Needed: 1 teacher each month
Training: 1 month paid training at regular salary (included in 12 months contract).

Training takes place at Training centre in Gwacheon City (Seoul)

Students: Grades 1 – 8
Hours: Schedules run between Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Lunch 12:00 – 1:00

Class size: up to 10 students per class – 50 mins per class

Set curriculum and teacher input / creativity to supplement is encouraged
Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year
Accommodations: Free furnished single apartment (bachelor apartment / studio style)

Airport Reception: teachers will be received on arrival at the Incheon International Airport (Seoul).
Airfare: 1 way airfare reimbursed by Employer, return ticket paid by employer at end of 12 month contract.
Medical Insurance: 50% premiums paid by employer – effective within12 weeks of arrival (Insurance companies have waiting periods for new coverages).

Pension – you can get pension enrolment (Company pays 50% of premium)
