Plans / A Plan “Do you have any plans for the weekend?” is a very common North American phrase that you’re very likely to hear on any given Friday. “Plan” is always used in the plural (“plans”), and this expression means “What are you going to do this weekend?” “Do you have a plan?” is used for when you have a specific goal in mind, and never to just ask about what someone is going to do during a certain time.
